The conversion of the 500-acre Lamington Farm property is a prime example of the adaptive re-use of existing site features. Set between two championship 18-hole golf courses, the 1930’s Georgian Manor house was converted into the facilities clubhouse. Gladstone Design, Inc. provided design and permitting services for both golf courses, including Municipal, State and County approvals.

Designed by legendary golf course architect A. W. Tillinghast and opened in 1899, the Somerset Hills Country Club has retained it’s traditional old-world charm while meeting the challenges of modern-day development regulations. Gladstone Design, Inc. has designed and obtained state, county and local agency approvals for the expansion of the clubhouse, new tennis pro shop, golf cart facility, maintenance facility, dam restoration and reconfiguration of select golf course features.

Once part of the vast holdings of financier James Cox Brady, the 550 acre site is home to a championship 18-hole golf course and an 18-hole par 3 course. Retaining and integrating many of the nearly 100-year old structures and site features, Gladstone Design, Inc. provided site design, local and state approval, construction and survey services for the project that featured golf course construction, historic pond restoration, parking and circulation layout, septic disposal testing and design, and 24 residential lots.

Located on the former estate of Kate Macy Ladd, Natirar is a hotel and resort destination located within the Somerset Hills of New Jersey. The project is a prime example of adaptive reuse of the existing 15,000 sq. ft. mansion and associated buildings. Once completed, the project will boast over 200,000 sq. ft. of hotel, banquet facilities and world class spa.

Located along the banks of the Lamington River, Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club is in the process of extensive remodeling of its facilities. This includes a new driving range; pool and pool house; increased parking; tennis and paddle courts; pro-shop and upgrades to the clubhouse. Gladstone Design, Inc. provided site design; local and state approval; construction and survey services on the project.
